Hamburg Airport station (Hamburg)

The Hamburg Airport station is the latest addition to the Hamburg S-Bahn, serving Hamburg Airport. It opened in 2008. According to S-Bahn Hamburg plc — owner and operator of the S-Bahn — approximately 13,500 passengers per day used the Ohlsdorf–Hamburg Airport line in 2009.[2]

From Ohlsdorf, the first three cars of an S1 train, coming from central station, will proceed to the airport, while the last three go to Kornweg and Poppenbüttel station. This eliminated the need for the bus service from Ohlsdorf station to the airport.
